What is a CSA?

CSA stands for community supported agriculture and is a mutually beneficial relationship between farmers and consumers where farmers receive money in advance of the season.  In return, consumers become a member of the CSA and receive a share of produce weekly during the growing season.  At Salvaterra’s Gardens, we also reserve the best variety and quality of our produce for our CSA members too!

2024 CSA Information

At the close of every season, we ask our members for feedback about our CSA so that we can improve it every year. We consistently hear the same feedback- members love having the flexibility to choose which vegetables they take home. Because of this we offer what we call our CSA Flex Share. The Flex Share gives members the ultimate flexibility to choose which vegetables they want, how much they want and how often to pick up. Our CSA season begins mid/late May and runs for 18 weeks giving members the flexibility to miss weeks without missing out on their vegetables. The money you pay for your share will function as a credit on your account. Each week you can choose to get as much or as little as you'd like, and that amount will be deducted from your account. The balance on your account then rolls down to the next week. If members run out of credit before the season ends, they can either choose to add more credit to their account or end the CSA season early.

Members who pick up their share at our farm will "shop" for their vegetables from our market style CSA farm stand. Members who pick up their share at our stand at the Easton Farmers’ Market preorder their vegetables by email.

We have a finite number of share spots available. When you register, you secure one of those spots. Because of this, all share credits must be used by the end of the 2024 season and cannot be rolled over to the following season. Membership is non-refundable.
